I don't really have one specific example of where the following happens since I see it at various locations. So, I guess that I'm just asking for some general wisdom instead: I attempt to access a folder. A dialogue box appears: "you don't currently have permission to access this folder. Click continue to get permanent access to this folder" Continue or Cancel As an Administrator, I am ABLE to continue. I just want to know if there's any reason that I SHOULDN'T as far as.....screwing something up? Does anyone know why an administrator account wouldn't be given full access to these kinds of folders from the very beginning and, instead, be given this dialogue box to allow access at the user's discretion (drawing a contrast to the sort of files/folders in windows that utterly and unexceptionally denies user access)?
