I have posted to this site recently for problems I was having with my Canon printer, and then my mouse (All three of them!)

first, the Canon printer; I beat myself for about a month trying to solve the printer problem (it wouldn't print) My brother put out a feeler on his tractor forum to see if there were any Linux users there that could help. One poster pointed out that Canon and Linux do not have a working relationship. Then he pointed out three printers that work well with Linux, one being HP. I found an HP printer at a garage sale, hooked it up, and lo and behold, no more printer problem.

Then, however, the mouses decided to quit. More research and no solutions, then I learned that increasing the mouse pointer speed helped. I'm not sure this is a complete solution, because the mouse still stalls on occasion, but the solution appears to be more RAM. When I have that accomplished, I may have more info. In the meantime, I hope I have helped somebody.

I am new with Linux, as are many posters here, and tend to look for complicated answers for simple solutions. It's not all that hard, better than MS 8.1 for sure!
