Message "USB Device not Recogised"

My Panasonic camera used to worked when plugged into a front USB port, then came a load of MS updates. Now I get the above message. I have un-installed the Panasonic software, same problem, then re-installed, same again.

 

 

If I use a USB stick it works fine. I have a USB port at the back of the computer, (Not easy to get to) the camera works there.

 

 

So two ports recognise a USB stick but not the camera, what can I do?
