Traditional Chinese IME: entering double byte punctuation

I run Windows 8. (not 8.1)

Don't know why that my New Phonetic Traditional Chinese IME always switches to double-byte sometimes. I can't figure out why it would happen or what keys I had pressed. Usually if I frequently type Chinese and chat with others, there's high chance to happen.

I tried:

1. Shift+Space

2. Ctrl + Alt

3. Tab

4. CapsLock

5. CapsLock + Space

6. Ctrl + Shift

Switched back to English mode and tested all above combination keys, but in vain.

None of them triggered to double-byte.

So I have NO IDEA WHAT THE **** is going on that it automatically switches to double-byte.

Maybe it's a IME bug?
