In the middle of the night, from sleep mode, my computer woke itself up. I used Command Prompt and found out that it was Microsoft Media Center Update that did this. However, I further researched and found that it was supposed to update at about 3:45 PM. Why did it wake up at 3:45 AM, then? The computer's clock is fine. Do Microsoft Media Center Updates originate from the other side of the world? Why was it 12 hours off? I have now changed it so that the computer won't wake up from sleep for updates of any kind (supposedly), but will just do the update the next time it is "awake". However, I want to know why Media Center woke up my computer exactly 12 hours after it was supposed to.
