Guest linuxpilotostc Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Hello everybody! Good morning! Okay this is my second post on this Forum and it's regarding a smarter way to Install Linux. I have the following situation: In the company that I work for we conducted a series of tests with the Linux usage with 3 key pilot users. Our goal was to observe their experience as they were complaining a lot when they were using Windows XP. After 2 months we've finally managed to adapt the users to the new environment using Oracle Linux and now we want to install the system in the entire department, which has 10 more workstations. Instead of installing the OS at one PC at a time I would like to know if you guys would have any idea on how to create an image of the OS so I just could replicate the installation across the machines. If I could do that It most certainly would be an amazing thing because installing the OS and to make all the necessary adjustments to our environment is really time consuming. If I could create just one image of the Linux Installation with all the parameters set to our working standard it would save me several hours. I'm looking forward to hearing from you Linux fellas. Thank you very much for your time for reading this post. Daniel. Continue reading... Quote
