Apple's Beats deal reportedly pushed back until next week

Apple's deal to purchase Beats for $3.2 billion, which began as a rumor last week, is now reportedly being pushed back to next week. Re/code

 

Apple's planned deal to buy Beats Electronics for $3.2 billion may not be finalized until next week, according to people familiar with the transaction. That's a longer timetable than some people expected as recently as a few days ago.

 

While neither company has officially confirmed the talks, Dr. Dre posted a video last week in which he says that he is "the first billionaire in hip-hop." To add further fuel to the fire, a rumor from earlier this week suggested that Apple might introduce Beats founders Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine as high-level executives at its WWDC 2014 conference next month. For now, we don't have any concrete information to go by, so all that is left to do is wait until next week and see where the chips fall.
