Windows update will not install malicious software removal tool for May (KB890830). I am running windows XP with automated updates and have been for years. I got the gold shield notification in the taskbar and attempted to download the update but it failed to install. A statement on the information panel claims that I have chosen to skip all available updates which is untrue. Usually you have to affirm a EULA, but I do not even receive that opportunity. It doesn't make any sense for Windows to offer an update to a customer at the same time that it denies the update.
