I had grub-0.97 installed in my pc, which runs ubuntu 12.04.

I was trying to install tinycore in a compact-flash (256MB) following this tutorial:

(Ihave a problem posting my url) (parkytowers.me.uk/thin/Linux/TinycoreCF.shtml)

Everything was going fine, till I get to step5 and I tried to do:

Code:

grub --device-map=grub-device.map

In this moment I get the following message:

Code:

"grub" is not installed

Now I'm trying to sudo apt-get install grub, but I'm in a go-around all the time:

If i try sudo apt-get install grub, linux tells me that it is uninstalling grub-pc, but there are dependencies not solved:

grub-gfxpayload-lists

grub2-common

I try to run

Code:

sudo apt-get update

Then I try to install again grub and all the time is the same.

Can anyone help me, please?

Thank you
