Getting Error message " Missing window/system32/config/system "

Hi All

Please assist, I have 2 windows 8 pc, and one of them after a power cut/drop one of them would not come up

and had the following error. (Missing window/system32/config/system)

I did not want to go through the trouble of reloading so I copied the folder of the working pc and pasted it in to the non

working pc, it now boots but has an error message if plugged in to a net work... name already on network, this is after I renamed

the pc and checked that the registry entry's have been changed as well.

what could it be and how can I fix it with out reloading.

If I open the files in note pad it is blank, and I have administrator writes as I am admin and owner.

please help
