Garmin Express will not update maps on Nuvi 660

My Nuvi 660 although recognised by GE reports error when I attempt to load update maps to it. Simple message is Error: unable to update maps contact Garmin.

 

Garmin have responded with the message below:

 

 

We have found that the issue is not with Express, but with your PC. We advise you to contact Microsoft, as it is a framework issue. Please tell them the information below:

 

A BadImageFormatException exception is thrown when the file image of a DLL or executable program is not valid.

System.Management is a built in component of .NET

 

We apologise for any inconvenience.

 

 

That was the total message.

 

 

Please help. Where do I go from here?

 

 

My last message on this matter appears to have been deleted this last week end after one MS answer that did not solve the problem.
