idle rootkit

Hi there.

I just discovered to my horror that my antivirus picked up a rootkit labelled Hidden application idle with a high seveity detection.

It requests a restart to complete the clean up process which I did.

After restart, I ran another rootkit scan and a different number of them were detected (initial number was 74 and its now 46).

A third restart and clean up turned up 62 of them.

I've read a lot of wierd things about Hidden application idle rootkit and my blood pressure is getting several notches higher.

The system is getting slower everyday with the System process being greedier with Disk and CPU useage when I check my task manager.

Any urgent assistance will be appreciated.
