No, you're here only because you're a broke loser who can't afford to

purchase Vista and you're extremely jealous of those of us who can

afford Vista.

So this is your way of letting us know just how enraged (and broke) you are.

And you're not man enough to admit it...so you keep lying about it.

ITYM Linux supports more old hardware than Vista does.

If you actually buy some bleeding edge hardware you aren't going to get

Linux drivers before Vista and its probably going to be a lot later or maybe

never (it took years before I could get a driver for a mylex raid card I had

even though every version of windows had one, even OS2 had a driver but not

Linux).

This is one reason Linux is good for servers (unless they have bleeding edge

network or raid controllers) but not so good for desktops.. unless they are

quite old desktops.

Funny then how my very up to date dual core desktop with is fully

supported. Of course, it does help that I choose vendors who support Linux

and don't buy from vendors who don't. =)

Not to mention your being a troll and a pest. Now go peddle Ubuntu to the

Nigeria (so there is no communication with the outside world, keeping you

away from the vista newsgroup, Just FYI)

It took me less time than that to reinstall Vista on this Samsung laptop

including office 2007 and VS2005 and all the updates.

It also has Nvidia but the 8400M (does Ubuntu have drivers for that yet?)

and I have dvd43 installed so DVD regions are not an issue.

I must find out if Ubuntu will play HD DVDs through my HDMI connector to my

HDTV.. I bet it doesn't.

What I do know is that folks who push a hard sell

for any product are less apt to make the sale.

The folks "hard selling" Linux in this Windows

Vista newsgroup is a classic example. They act

like used car salesman and lack the character to

respect anyone who disagrees with their message.

Their persistent name calling, insults, and use of profanity

reflects poorly on their character and leads one to dismiss

them as ill-mannered, ill-tempered, and worse, uneducated.

No one is hard selling Windows Vista. Its all

Fully supported???

The last time I looked Linux was still using old fashioned code locks to do

its multiprocessor support.

I would consider resource level locks to be fully supported with technology

less than ten years old.

Not that windows is any better AFAIK.

nVidia actually has excellent support so yes, you should be able to

download nVidia drivers (if even necessary) directly from nVidia's website

for linux. It's pretty simple. Even someone like you should be able to

figure it out.

Then again, with your attitude....
