hehehe...sorry you linux lying idiot of a moron. Anyone in any REAL

business who has to deal with documents that contain a complex mix of

formats knows that if they were created in Microsoft Office the odds are

great that other available Office software, i.e., WordPerfect,

OpenOffice, etc will not keep the format when they convert the document.

That is common knowledge. Everyone with heavy document usage experience

knows that to be true. That is why those who don't have MS Office will

most times have the free Office readers installed. That says nothing

about the new Office 2007 document format, .docx. I haven't tried to

cross platform it...I don't really care...but I bet the odds are

formatting will again be lost.

You need to accept when you are wrong and stop the whining like a little

baby.

It doesn't affect me one iota and doesn't affect most users that

Microsoft has included yet another feature to attempt to keep MS Office

as the standard. Perhaps if enough people dumped MS Office, they would

learn. You, of course, wouldn't be one of those people because you have

your head firmly stuck up Redmond's a$$ and you think they can do no wrong.

So, basically, what you're saying is the MS Office apps have no

compatibility with anything but Office and that you like that crap.

You obviously know nothing at all about Windows or how to use it.

Most of those (you counted them correct?) programs are totally

worthless. But you like that "free" thing don't you?

That seems to only be a problems for a few...like you. But not to worry

as activation is well under way for lots and lots of different software

from many different companies.

Humm...I don't have any "ninja" hardware and have no idea what that is.

Strange...I've got many different languages on my Windows CD...I guess

you missed that one too huh?

hehehe...really wrong! That's simply not true since Win2K.

Wrong! Again, simply not true. You're only fooling yourself if you

believe that one.

I see you've not learned anything at all over the last few months from

many of us who have constantly complained to you about your incessant

lying in this ng.

I guess that positively makes you a pathological liar.

You're hopeless...which kind of goes with your philosophical outlook (no

hope) on life seeing as how you're an atheist.

And most of those Ubuntu users would not be doing more than

email/browsing or the limited other functions.

I never said that Ubuntu would not satisfy the needs of the limited

user, only that if you're going to keep using XP there is no reason to

go through the trouble of having an alternative OS to mess with.

And, you've proven that there is a few exceptions to every case, but

we're talking MOST HOME users, and you still rant that Ubuntu is the

solution to Windows without telling them about the limitations - the

entire issue with you is your lie that Ubuntu is a replacement for

Windows, and yet you keep running Windows...

Actually, take my own home, a BUNCH of computers, nothing to do, runs

Hey Frank, is your real name Steve Ballmer? That's about the only

plausible reason anybody would so blindly defend Microsoft and we've

all seen Ballmer going ape. So I was wondering since you always act

like an ass and we've seen Ballmer acting like an ass, could it be?

Agreed. Leythos is just a moron projecting diseases and unsavory IQ

accusations upon others because he is so unhappy.

Put some VBA macros and stuff like that in it and see how far you get.

Even some embedded spreadsheets would probably be enough.

Why would that "be likely"?

Because of something you don't have: common sense.

Fukk!!!

That is the most outrageously remark I've ever heard form you (well, to

date anyway).

You my friend, are totally devoid of any semblance of "common sense",

which, btw, is not at all common.

What is the word when someone is not ignorant of the facts but still pushes

it to everyone and anyone without any thought as to if it will do what they

need?

Stupid and malicious are a couple that spring to mind.

I suppose that the PC people would classify you as learning deficient as it

hasn't sunk in yet and doesn't look like it will.

However as you have been told in the past it is *not* bullet proof and you

have only your own ignorance if you do not research it and find out why many

people are telling you that you are *wrong*.

The last time I looked there were tens of unfixed vulnerabilities in Ubuntu,

probably more than in Vista.

If you haven't been exploited with an attitude like yours it will be more

luck than skill.

You had best use Google to find how to check your box for exploits and see

if you need to fix them.

In the mean time I suggest that less knowledgeable users than yourself would

be better off using some of the better security tools on windows as they do

the work you will have to do manually if you want to be certain you have not

been compromised.

BTW you are running a separate hardware based firewall with logging so you

can easily check for exploits running on your machines or do you plan on

doing it the hard way?

I expect more people are surprised by you..

Piracy does happen.. I have been offered M$ office preinstalled for £10 on a

system I was buying.

Do you think it was a real copy for that price?

Maybe they thought I was a crook because I didn't want windows on it?

Probably unlike many of the buyers of Dell linux systems who then put a

dodgy version of windows on them I really did want it for Unix and its

probably still running it now (it was sold on so I don't know).

You fail to tell people that nearly all Linux downloads and installs are

abandoned.. you really should tell these "ignorant" users that you are

informing about Ubuntu that most people give up just so they know it may be

a waste of time.

So you get a duff NIC and everything is windows fault.

It only takes one thing.. in your case it is games.. you still don't advise

the "ignorant" potential Ubuntu users that it may not, no probably will not

do everything they want. They find out just after Ubuntu has deleted windows

and their recovery partition. I expect your advice has cost people money and

you are lucky they don't try and get it back from you.

You need to do some research so you aren't so ignorant.. hint.. most Linux

installs are abandoned.

Reading comprehension problem? I wrote: "practically bullet proof".

Keep telling yourself that lie.

Ah, the unfounded insult. Can't you do better than that?

No need to Google as I already know how.

Sure, pull the other one, it has bells on it.

I can see you don't understand the architecture of Linux. Try Google.
