Posted May 8, 201410 yr Here's the problem i have, and what i know so far. NT Kernel and system is taking up no less than 25% of the cpu, and making everything lag. Using process explorer i discovered the thread responsible: ntoskrnl.exe"!KeAcquireInStackQueuedSpinLockAtDcpLevel+0x1e0 I've tried suspending, killing, and looking at the permission and it always says the same thing: Unable to access thread. so far i've tracked to be a driver for new software's "folder lock". I've never installed this program though and have no way of finding it. So i downloaded the windows driver kit, because that way i can examine the data and hopefully at least narrow it down, then google the drivers i think might be it. The problem is, however, that when i try to install, it says that microsoft document explorer couldn't install, and then it completely "roll's back" as it puts it, its installation. No matter how many times i try, it does this. Both files SAY they should be installable, but they aren't. This is where i'm stuck at. Any help would be appreciated.
