Windows XP Theme

My windows XP theme is gone!I know I should upgrade.But for now I'll deal with XP.Everytime I try to set the XP theme in properties.Or deal with the look of old windows.by trying to changed the colors.I get a screen pop-up saying that it cannot be loaded.Missing C:\DOCUME~\ADMIN~/LOCALS~\Temp\WERb5bd.dir00\rubdll32.exe.mdmp and another underneath that's the same except for the very end part-\app.compat.'txt.It also shows anothe pop-up sayin"Cannot run DLL as an app".Now I've had no virus or other infections that changed this.It was windows itself!I started Windows and boom XP Theme was gone!Nohing else was touched.All programs were working.Is there a fix,a download,anything to correct this?I HATE the old look of old Windows!Please help!
