Posted May 7, 201410 yr I'm new to windows 7, since I had XP, and I've updated everything. My computer says there are drivers missing for chipsets and other categories. When I tried to download them, windows won't let me "run" the program and I see that Windows has been configured to never install drivers. I tried to change it, but everything is set to automatically download updates. I went into device manager and it says the ports for usb and sd cards, etc. are up to date. But all the driver updates were "automatically archived". I even tried to download separately and my computer won't let me. What's going on? There are no more updates on "Windows Update". Don't know what to do next. Is there an update I can undo that put this instruction in place? Thanks for any help. Continue reading...
