I'm trying to get a mirroring raid disk started. I know I need too convert the disk too a dinamic disk. But he says that my disk doesn't support this operation. The disk are 2 new 2 tera disk from western digital. Can anyone tell me how too make this 2 disk in one mirroring raid disk?

the logical disk maneger geeft als fout boodschap:

The problem is getting the 2 disk dynamic.Somhow the disk won't do it. They gave the same error message as above. The operation is not supported bij the object. I have a raid controller on my main board. When I actived it and select the disk in the bios and make a mirror raid disk they are gone in windows.

Wait... this is correct...

 

if you manage a RAID from "bios" (better, from your controller), you cannot let windows manage it after... so, if you create a raid from your controller, Windows must see ONE disk (in case of a raid 1). This is correct.

 

Perhaps there's a GUI for your controller that can be installed on windows.
