Posted April 30, 201410 yr Using my IE Browser today, i noticed a flashing shield on my bar....apparently i accidentally opened it and next thing i knew, my computer was taken over by this thing. It identified itself as "Windows Internet Guard" and kept popping up windows on the right. As it progressed, it wanted a credit card number....to be used after the "trial period". I did not do anything with this...noticed that the word "automatically" was misspelled....kept trying to close it....then i realized, to my horror, it was blocking all my attempts to access the internet!!!!! Had to finally go to my system restore and restored my computer to two days ago. This thing....i am assuming is part of this IE browser problem......now i had to muddle through and download Chrome (again!) and Firefox......be careful out there! Lastly, i notice the shield is still "flashing" on the bar......what to do...what to do? Continue reading...
