Wireless Broadband Connection: Still listed in Network Icon in System Tray after uninstalling...

I have uninstalled the software I was using for my internet wireless broadband connection (which shows up under the heading: Dial-up & VPN in the Network icon). I made sure all folders were removed from my PC, meaning I went into the Program Files folder and the Program Data folder. This internet connection was made via a USB modem.

I had hoped that by clicking onto the big red cross to the right of the '3G connection' listing in the Network icon that it would be removed from the list, but it just gives me a message. It is not listed in the Network and Sharing Center.

I have of course installed the new wireless broadband connection software from a different ISP provider, again using a USB modem. This has installed successfully and is working fine so far (only got it yesterday).

Should I be concerned about the old connection, or just leave it there in that list? I doubt I will be re-connecting to that connection in the future.
