Can't Open ACPI ATK0100 kernel Mode Driver>> You have to install ATK0100 driver

Hi,

I deleted this driver with out knowing what it was. Now I keep getting this ERROR message "Can't Open ACPI ATK0100 kernel Mode Driver" I click "OK" and it says "You have to install ATK0100 driver"

The laptop is a ASUS PRO31F, so based on advise I've read online I visited the link below and downloaded the zip file "ATK_Media_XP_060731.ZIP"

http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=Pro31F&p=3&s=87

I am not sure If I am running the contents of the zip file correctly because it doesn't seem to fix the issue. I was only able to run Setup.exe from the zip which installed "ATK Media" , however when ever my lap top restarts the ERROR message reappears.

I thought maybe I am to force the update via Device manager, but If am looking for ACPI Driver or something to that extent I can't find it in Device manager.

Just to give you a little more insight:

I am trying SlimDrivers Free at the moment to see if that will find and fix the issue... but it doesn't look like it. I do not have the recovery disk, F9 key on this laptop doesn't work to do a factory restore, Even before I stupidly deleted this driver I have tried doing the Kaspersky recover thingy via USB, the lap top doesn't boot from USB even after choosing the correct BOOT setting.

Anyways, If someone could help me install ATK0100 driver it would be much appreciated.

Cheers,

Jude
