on Windows 7 Home Premium I installed Word 2013

 

 

When I double click an existing .doc file, the "open with" dialog box always pops up offering recommended programs "Firefox" and "Word(desktop)"

 

I pick Word and "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" is checked

 

As soon as I click "OK" the Word logo displays as if starting up, but then it displays the small dialog box "Now printing page such and such of document name"

 

and Word just terminates

 

I have already declared Word as the Default Program for this file type.

 

 

Any help would be appreciated!
