Posted April 23, 201410 yr My MSE definitions are up to date, and my Windows Update service is working fine. I ran the FixIt program (as suggested by others in response to John Lunenburg's question asked on 1 March 2012), but all things were fine. I just can't turn on the real-time protection of MSE. It times out when I try to turn it on. I had Norton Antivirus installed, but I unistalled that thinking that it was messing with MSE (as suggested on the MSE forum pages). That didn't work either. I submitted an email question to MSE, but I got a response saying that Microsoft no longer provides email support for MSE. Can anyone help!?! I feel exposed and vulnerable. Continue reading...
