Posted April 16, 201410 yr I have no idea what's going on at this point. For the past couple of days my PC has apparently been sending wrong passwords to my Microsoft Account about 6 times every minute it's online. I know it's my PC because the IP matches successful attempts I manually enter. It wouldn't have been much of an issue, but the multiple failed attempts lock me out of my 360 when I want to play. Signing in works on my laptop and iPhone and Xbox One, but not the 360. I looked up similar threads on this site and found mostly people running Windows 8 are experiencing and solving similar problems. This would be great, but I'm running XP and their solutions don't apply to this machine. According to the Recent Activity page these attempts are coming from Firefox and Internet Explorer. This is really strange because I've never used Internet Explorer to sign in to my Microsoft Account, ever. So it shouldn't have any information to send on its own. I thought maybe Firefox was the overall problem so I got Chrome and uninstalled Firefox completely, but there was no change in activity after restarting the PC. Another weird thing to note is the activity doesn't start until I open a browser, be it Firefox or now Chrome. I can turn on the PC and check the activity on my phone and nothing strange will be recorded since I turned off the PC. But as soon as I open a browser it starts up again, even before I load any page that asks for my Microsoft Account (Outlook, Xbox.com), and it doesn't stop until I turn off the PC. Any help will be greatly appreciated, Alex Continue reading...
