Posted April 16, 201410 yr Running XP Pro. I've been trying to get rid of this for some time now. Don't ask why I didn't contact Microsoft (would have been too easy I guess). I found a registry fix that was supposed to work, but doesn't do the trick. It had to do with an update from Microsft, and Java Help file (all way above my payscale) that scrambled things a bit. I've been to so many sites, and read so many articles, I can't remember much of anything now. This problem first showed up in maybe '96 according to some of the things I read (people like you, that fix stuff). I really thought I had it.......Ha! Then I fell asleep. The fix was: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\HTMLHelp\1.x\HHRestrictions]" OverrideLMZLinHHContainer"=dword:00000001 I was Happy nothing chocked after I added this, but, nope, the error didn't choke either. This was my first regedit experience, I'm not farmiliar with it at all. I'm thinking about tracking down LMZ in HHcontainer so I can make sence out of the control (override) that is supposed to do something to something to override the help file. I got nothin. Event Veiwer Properties Event Type: Information Event Source: HHCTRL Event Category: None Event ID: 1904 Date: 4/11/2014 Time: 10:43:16 PM User: N/A Computer: BLADEDAJUGGALO Description: The description for Event ID ( 1904 ) in Source ( HHCTRL ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: about:blank, http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink?LinkID=45840. Any Help, ideas, even bad ones, will be appreciated. I have created more problems changing things here and there to get rid of this problem, it's crazy. It is fun though, and I didn't make this error (I don't think) though. Thanks and Good Day.
