Posted April 14, 201410 yr I just recently installed a LifeCamNX-3000 Webcam and these items are listed as "Unknown Device", with a code 18 error, under Sound, video and game controllers: 1. SW\{96e080c7-143c-11d1-b40f-00a0c9223196} 2. SW\{ddf4358e-bb2c-11d0-a42f-00a0c9223196} I used to have a Creative Cam Chat HD and a Quickcam STX. When I install them, two other similar devices are listed as "Unknown Device" including the ones above. I went to webcamtoy.com to test my webcams but that site doesn't work for me. I tried installing in safe mode to no avail. Webcams simply do not work on my system. Continue reading...
