I apologize for creating yet another thread about this error, but I have tried all of the steps found in the other threads to no avail:

Your computer appears to be correctly configured, but the device or resource (DNS server) is not responding" error message in Windows 7:

Your computer appears to be correctly configured

To summarize again here:

  • I have gone through the /flushdns /registerdns and /release /renew process
  • I have reset my modem and computer hundreds of times
  • I have changed IPv4 and IPv6 to manually-set DNS (8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4) as well as automatically configured
  • I have disabled IPv6
  • I have made sure that all relevant services in services.msc are Started and Automatic
  • Reset TCP/IP through cmd
  • Swapped out network cards

None of those steps have had any noticeable effect. My computer will go through brief windows of time where it can access the Internet, then longer periods where it cannot.

I have not been able to identify any environmental factor that would be contributing to this timing.

Any help would be appreciated!
