Posted April 11, 201410 yr HI, I have a WAN connection which connect different departments from all over my country via tunneling. In my main location I have shared internet via Untangle and our warehouse software which provides information to our branches via shared drives. When this came on line all our departments could see each other and share the same internet connection via the WAN. Recently I have noticed that the new computer that houses windows 7 are not able to pull an internet connection and the shared drives on them keep dropping. At first I thought it was a connectivity issue so I had the ISP come and conduct an array of test on their equipment which were functioning properly. Then I realized that we still had some windows XP machines which were accessing the internet and shared drives without any issues. How ever window 7 machines that were closer to the source of the internet and share feed could access the shared files without any issues. I have tried disabling the firewall, Turning on network discovery, disabling the antivirus completely. I also tried pinging the computers over the WAN which gave me destination host unreachable. If I pinged the computers that were within lets say sales, in which I was I got replies. Now if I took the an XP machine an pinged a computer over the wan I would receive replies. Please bear in mind that all computers are on the same network and same subnet mask. Can some help with this issue? Continue reading...
