Posted April 11, 201410 yr I recently used the UNINSTALL feature of MS Windows 7 in the Control Panel, "Programs and Features" section, to uninstall a program that was installed by my computer manufacturer 'DELL'. This program was something like a multi-media "ribbon with 5-7 large buttons that I could chose to work with audio, photos, pictures, etc. In spite of my examining all of the "start-up" applications, I could not stop this ribbon from appearing when I booted my system. I could close it after I booted up, but I grew annoyed at doing this so I deleted it. What I did not know was that my Accu-Weather app was associated or linked to it, so that now, I have no desktop weather monitor. I went to Accu-Weather's web page but the only way to install a desktop weather monitor at no costs is to agree to also install other apps more ridiculous than the Dell multi-media ribbons. Is there a way I can re-install the ribbon without doing a system restore? Continue reading...
