I have been using Windows XP for years but with the help of some great people have been migrating over to Linux, specifically Mint Maya 13 (Mate). I think its a great OS, but am still working out the bugs. I installed a graphics card that can handle dual monitors (Nvidia,GeForce2 MX/AGP/SSE2),and have been using dual monitors using the EVGA UV plus 12 plugged into a usb port for years with no problems. Now when I am in Mint ( I am dual booting until I can work out all the bugs), Mint doesn't see the other monitor at all. I tried installing the recomended Nvidia drivers (The X.Org Foundation) but still no luck seeing the other monitor. I understand that the EVGA UV plus 12 device is not supported in Linux. Is there another workaround? the Graphics card has an "S" video input and a VGA input. Would replacing that card again and finding one with two VGA ports solve it.If so which card would fit my old Dell dimension 8100? Thanks in advance!
