I have had this laptop just shy of 4 weeks where errors have started to occur- got the BSOD where it said kernel inpage error/security check failures.

So I refreshed it, hoping to fix the problem. This did absolutely nothing. So used various methods to fix it and the SFC tool has revealed it is caused by windows.ui.xaml.dll.mui corruption in the stores- as copied from the log below.

It was the only corrupted file. It is fixed in windows 8 with some lag (especially in computer games). So attempted to upgrade to 8.1 and several times, it failed and reverted back to Windows 8 and gives the same BSODs errors from above.

So I reformatted the entire hard drive, checked the hard drive with SFC. The error is STILL there after the reformatting, indicating the error is in the recovery media I used to refresh and reformat the laptop with. I bought this laptop from a refurbished seller via ASUS and they gave me the recovery media on a different hard drive within the laptop.

Could anyone explain how to solve this error?
