Windows Defender did not detect some HKLM files that were flagged as malicious by Malware Bytes scan of My Windows 8.1 Pro system. Some of these included end directory descriptions of HKLM/.... /suprasaver etc. Was Defender missing these, or was Malware Bytes overly aggressive? Both were up to date.

 

 

also, from what I have been reading, Windows Defender is not the overall security system that Microsoft SecurityEssentials was. Does this mandate continuing with two different security systems, and why would Microsoft Windows eliminate MSE this from Windows 8.1 Pro if this is the case?
