Posted April 8, 201410 yr We JUST switched to Windows 8.1 and during that process, my husband accidentally agreed to install a few super annoying programs. He thought they were relevant to Windows 8.1, but now we realize that some of them are not. We have tried to remove Quiknowledge, but it seems to have embedded itself somehow. My husband removed it from the Control Panel, but we can see that it is still in the C drive. We tried to delete it from there, but a error message pops up saying that the program (Quiknowledge) cannot be deleted because it is currently in use. Do we need to purchase an anti-malware program to remove it? Ideas? Also, are the other programs I mentioned (Linkey, Realtek, Savings Bull) important for Windows 8.1, or are they outsider programs that we were just tricked into adding during the Windows 8.1 install? Thank you. StephanieB. Continue reading...
