Very recently, all files, with any extension (.jpg, .doc(x), .xls(x), .ppt(x), .png, .pdf, etc.) have been altered to have the extension (.normalextension).enc.rtf, and to be Read-Only. When you open any one of these files, it opens to a Word document saying the following:

[EN] The file is encrypted

To decrypt the file, follow these steps:

1. Disable antivirus (and firewall) installed on your computer

2. Enable internet connection

3. Unpack the archive C:\Documents and Settings\Computer User\Local Settings\Application Data\BRzrloEv\MiEBEMYl.zip (or archive with the same name on your desktop). Password fjjucsQJ

4. Run the unzipped qARErmSs.exe

5. Enter the correct code voucher Ukash, Paysafecard or MoneyPack

6. Do not restart the computer. Expect complete decoding

[FR] le fichier est crypté

Pour déchiffrer le fichier, procédez comme suit:

1. Désactiver l'antivirus (et pare-feu) installé sur votre ordinateur

2. Activer connexion internet

3. Décompressez l'archive C:\Documents and Settings\Computer User\Local Settings\Application Data\BRzrloEv\MiEBEMYl.zip (archiver avec le même nom sur votre bureau). Mot de passe fjjucsQJ

4. Exécutez le fichier qARErmSs.exe décompressé

1. Deaktivieren Sie Antivirus-(und Firewall) auf Ihrem Computer installiert

2. Aktivieren Sie Internet-Verbindung

3. Entpacken Sie das Archiv C:\Documents and Settings\Computer User\Local Settings\Application Data\BRzrloEv\MiEBEMYl.zip (archivieren mit dem gleichen Namen auf dem Desktop). Passwort fjjucsQJ

4. Die entpackte qARErmSs.exe

5. Geben Sie den richtigen Code Gutschein Ukash, Paysafecard oder MoneyPack

6. Starten Sie den Computer nicht. Erwarten Sie komplette Dekodierung

Now, I do not know if the files are truly encrypted, but, regardless, they have been altered, and are now inaccessible. I have no idea how to fix any of this, other than the Read-Only part, and am quite scared that all of my files will be lost forever, because I am certainly not doing as it says. To my knowledge, nobody in my household has accessed any bad sites, or downloaded anything. We are running Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 3, and we just bought a new computer with Windows 8.1 that is currently being shipped, and were going to move all of these files onto the new computer, which is now a problem. We have been using Microsoft Security Essentials.

If anybody has information regarding this issue, or how to fix it, or anything, please tell me. I will supply any information I can.
