Posted April 6, 201410 yr I'm using an LG GH24NS70 SCSI CD/DVD drive on Windows XP OS (I intend to update to Vista, as soon as I can fix the CD-ROM.). Although Windows Explorer sees the drive and Device Manager correctly identifies it, it will not read any CD or DVD. Device Manager states it is working properly, using the following drivers: cdrom.sys, ElbyCDFL.sys, GEARAspiWDM.sys, imapi.sys, redbook.sys and storprop.dll. All but the last of these are located in the system32\drivers folder. The .dll is in system32 folder. I've tried Updating the Driver, but Windows reports it can't find a better file. I've also disabled and reenabled the device, to no avail. Does anybody have a solution for me, please? Continue reading...
