We use Raptors but don't use any Nvidia cards (ATI's only) and haven't

had that problem.

I'm still curious as to why all this was supposed to be "obvious" to us.

Well for one, you don't "build" the hardware. You purchase it and

install it. You don't "build" the hardware the way you "build" a

workstation.

You're running a server with a 1 GHz Celeron? I doubt it's doing

anything but storing files. A prime candidate for Linux I'd say.

Well that is a lot different then your original post:

"I'm sure Seagate will appreciate your stupid comments. They presently

make some of the best drives and are the only ones that come with a

five year warranty, others if you're lucky give you just a one year

warranty."

So you were Wrong! But please don't admit it you might explode!

Hummm...I guess that must irritate the hell out of you cause you keep

referring to it. I have modified hardware for our use. Call it what you

So? We we were involved in the beta of WHS, which we've now switched to

from Server 2003 because of it's different functionality.

A prime candidate for Linux I'd say.

Why? We've got everything we need. Linux is not in our future.

Upgrade some electrolytic capacitors on dual cpu mobo's that were

failing...alter promise cards to function as raid...stuff like that.

Minor stuff that requires knowing how to use a soldering pencil, solder,

flux and heat sinks...that's all...no big deal.

You're that old? It was called Temple School of Business before ITT

bought it in the late 60s and changed the name and it had been in

business since the 30s.
