"Obviously"? Why is that obvious to us Frank? You build everything,

"including the hardware"?

These tidbits of info keep coming out and it keeps getting more

interesting Frank. First you were the business owner who made the

decision to move your business to Vista. Now you're also the computer

whiz who puts together all the machines. So this is a very different

scenario from an owner who makes a "business decision" to put his

business on a new OS (although not needed), as opposed to the techie who

wants to play with a new OS. So all your criticisms of consultants

being "afraid" to put Vista on client machines comes into a new light

with you being the "consultant" who put Vista on to your business. It's

much harder to justify the benefits of Vista from XP when you're dealing

with a client, and not just your right lobe.

Probably a standard scripted answer, being an MVP.

Software guys blaming the hardware...hardware guys blaming the software.

This is interesting. I have two Raptors in RAID-0 and have been really

pissed off that they run so much faster in XP.

So what, I got you beat, I BUILT, literally, part by part, a color

television when I was a teen. This is actually building, since you

need to correctly identify by color bands and other markings the

hundreds of resistors, capacitors, transistors, diodes, etc., then one

by one solder them in place. Make one mistake, Poof!

>Obviously I build all of our computers including the hardware, install all of the

>software and maintain our LAN/Network & server.

Just shows what a Bozo you truly are. You don't BUILD computers, you

simply assemble them. It's child's play. Only a fool like you would

suggest you build a motherboard, hard drive, memory or some expansion

card. All ANYONE does is slip PREBUILT hardware into a MB slot, screw

it down and/or connect a couple connectors. So easy... even a caveman

could do it.

>That's why we don't have any issues, hardware, software, server or network.

Bullshit. You would never admit you have issues because you're on

record crawling up Microsoft's ass as their biggest fan and supporter.

>What's your excuse for not being able to get your one upgrade copy of

>Vista business running correctly?

I didn't write Vista. If I was involved with writing some of the code,

then it would have been tested better to AVOID these kinds of stupid

mistakes.

>Oh, I forgot, it's MS's fault, right mr genius, mr computer expert?

Exactly. It is Microsoft's fault and that is confirmed by Microsoft's

admission by making hotfixes available now to address the issue and

will no doubt will include, probably improved further in SP1.

Of course a blowhard like you can't bring yourself to admit you are

wrong, can you. No, so you resort to what you always do, you lie your

worthless ass off and pretend I can't get Vista to work. You're just a

lying skunk, fool and all around dumbass. Honest, I really do enjoy

exposing you as the doofus you are.

Frank is so full of sh*t he has to have holes in the bottom of his

shoes to let the excess drain out. I'm glad I'm not the only one that

noticed that our dear Frankie changes his story as often as most

people change their underwear. <giggle>

Frank's original story was he hired consultants that took six months

to get to the point Frankie would sign off on Vista for his

"business". Odd, very different than the picture Frankie is now trying

to paint. Just remember one thing about Frank. He's so full of sh*t,

nothing he claims can be believed at all.

Oh, Frank's "business" oddly does have something to do with sh*t. His

idea of rental property in Southern Europe which is claims to have:

Frank operates a string of these "fancy" outhouses.

It is a well known fact that the egg came first.

The fossil record shows eggs existed way before chickens existed.

Well your still full of crap Seagate does NOT provide 5 year warranty's on

all there drives.

And Western Digital does provide 5 year warranty's for some drives.

So your statement is as full of crap as you are.

Yeah, but the warranty isn't very helpful if, like me, you had to send

the hard drive to Ireland, pay for the postage and wait a couple weeks

to get a good one back. It wouldn't have been much more expensive to

just buy a new one.

I didn't suggest they did, I simply showed Frankie misspeaking like he

always does. The difference, and it is an important one, until very

recently Seagate was the ONLY one to offer extended warranties on SOME

of their consumer grade drives. WD is playing catch up.

It took ages to get my Raptors too. I am in the UK, and I don't remember if

I had to send them to Ireland at first, but the UPS tracking showed that

they went on to Germany and then to Bulgaria BEFORE the replacements were

even sent. Then there was a further delay as the model I have was out of

stock, so I eventually got upgraded to some limited editions especially made

for Dell, which had an 80GB capacity instead of 74GB. It took over three

weeks to get the replacements back, and this was on what was supposed to be

an ADVANCED RMA!!

Holy Cow, that's awful slow service. Way back years ago I had an

external Maxtor in a case go bad (interface inside the enclosure, not

the drive itself) and Maxtor not only sent a replacement next day

FedX, they paid the freight on the return and even sent a pre filled

out shipping label to send the original back with. All they did as

protection is ask for a credit card number which they don't bill

unless the original drive don't show up in a week or so.

I thought things were suppose to be more progressive in Europe?

That was my experience of RMAing with Maxtor as well, and IIRC, you even got

a month to send to the faulty drives back. I am pretty appalled by Western

Digital's customer service in comparison.

Yeah...including the hardware. I select all of the hardware, assemble

and install it. That's normally how it happens. Why? It's not like I do

12 boxes all at once! It's been over an extended period of time. Some

boxes are the latest while others are running older hardware. The server

is running on an old BX mobo with a 1 gig Celeron.

Really?

First you were the business owner who made the

Yeah, an I still am...so?

Now you're also the computer

Yeah, I qualify as Field Engineer status in electronics...so?

So this is a very different

Really? So you can't or don't know how to do the whole ball game?

So all your criticisms of consultants

You have a point to make...as I seem to be missing it.

It's

Whatever that means...? I still don't get your point...that is if you

have one to make.

No, that's not at all what I said. You're either can't read or you're

just a fukkin drunk.

Which is it?

Odd, very different than the picture Frankie is now trying

Paint? Oh really? In what way? You care to post my original statements

or you just want to be remembered as being an lying idiot full of sh*t?

Your choice as*hole!

Make your move...we're waiting!

Just remember one thing about Frank. He's so full of sh*t,

You're jealous or drunk or both? Which is it?

I don't have any "rental" properties in Europe. Never said that. You're

drunk again aren't you?

Frank

Hey as*hole...we've been using WD Raptors since '03 and they all have a

5 yr warranty.

You're an idiot!

The difference, and it is an important one, until very

WD Raptors don't have an "extended" warranty. They've always ha an out-

of-the-box 5 yr warranty.

You're really stupid aren't you.

Bullsh*t! We've been using Raptors since '03 and they all come with a 5

yr warranty.

You're an ignorant as*hole!
