Will microsoft work on allowing us to make common hardware changes and reconfigure secure boot?

Hi,

I like the idea of secure boot if it helps keep your system clean of root kit virus.

I do not like the fact that I can't make a simple upgrade to my hardware(SSD in my case) and turn secure boot back on.

Do I understand correctly-hardware upgrades is a trade off of security?

Is there plans to allow the user to upgrade hardware and have secure boot?
