Unable To Lock Service Database: Error 1055

Hi All,

 

I am getting the following error:

Unable to lock service database: error 1055

 

I know how to Unlock it using SC Lock /U

but i would like to know WHY this happens and how to avoid this error message before it pops up to the users.

By the way it happens during the creation process of the script to add new users

Are there any apps which are related to DCOM? (Fax service...) If so, contact the vendor.
