Posted March 31, 201410 yr Hey there: Thank you for previous responses to my Windows Installer problems. I have tried the MSIexec /unregister, MSIexc /regserver, cmd, MSIexec /? on “run.” However, the problem still exists. I did go back as far as I could to a restore point on my PC to deal with it, but that did not work either. The installer now has a new message in it's window. When I turn on the PC the Windows Installer window appears almost immediately and continually re-appears. However, I do have two restoration disks that were made at the time my PC was set up in 2006. I have never used them. I constantly have to cancel or delete the window several times before it will go away. It keeps coming back every few minutes, which is frustrating. I have a Windows XP, SP3 operating system with 2007 MS software package on it. It is a HP Pavilion m7480n Media Center edition that has a 300GB hard drive with NVidia GeoForce7300LE graphics card – purchased in 2006. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I apologise for not responding sooner—I was ill. Take care, Shirles Continue reading...
