Posted March 31, 201410 yr Hi, I know this issue is a dead horse hashed over again and again. And thank you for your help. Preparing for April 8th the best I can. Want to clean this mess first. Tight schedule. Don't know if these updates are of importance. Just appeared about 5-7 days ago. There are 4 Windows XP updates on my 2004 Sony Vaio that want to install upon logoff (on shut-off icon). And say sucessfully installed when I do this on the Windows Update page. But, after rebooting, the updates below do not show up in the Add/Remove Programs folder. Hence when I logoff it wants to install them again on the shut-off icon, eating up my C drive which is now down to 15%.. Just enough to defrag. I don't know where these files are installing. Need to trash, and clean some space. Your help is most appeiciated. Thank you so much.
