Posted March 30, 201410 yr Hello, This is my first post so please bare with me! I have just soldered in a new power jack into an Asus Laptop Model A54H-SX254V. There is definitely power going into the laptop. When I power the laptop on I can hear the fan and the 2 green lights flash momentarily, then nothing. The fan remains going until I power off. I have checked each connection but am wondering if I have damaged the motherboard with my soldering. I thought it appeared okay. This is my first attempt at soldering a power jack, I had someone more experienced with me. The main connection I would have thought may have been the culprit is the power button cable, but I have checked this first. I have removed the RAM and put back in.
