phone scham

I just got a call from this Korean girl with a very heavy accent and she said she was from windows Microsoft. She said my machine was sending a lot of error messages and warnings and she was going to fix it remotely. She wanted me to download a program called TEAMVEIWER and she would show me all the errors and warnings and she would fix them and my machine would run like new. I never heard of anything like this. Can you tell me anything about this? I told her I was not going to give control of my machine to anyone. She got a little defensive and I think I was on to her. Told her to call me tomorrow that I would ask someone about this. She sounded like she didn’t like that. And I hung up. What do you think? The phone # she called from was 661-453-1611 .
