Can any one help me with this issue please?

The other day I was updating FireFox and after the update the browser did the usual thing of opening up to the "Thank you for downloading page " blabla. But it then also at the same time opened another tab/page to what I thought was a Java update page. So I figured I had to update the Java software as well. But this was a mistake. I was tricked in to downloading a lookalike garbage software package and got all kinds of garbage on my computer.

So anyways I was able to get rid of almost all of it except a file called VuuPC. Got rid of most of those components as well and now I have this file still stuck on my machine called VOsrv exe. Its located in c\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\VOPackage\

So I was wondering if I could just put the computer in safe mode and just safely remove it with out damaging my machine that way?

Any advice is much appreciated.

Also can you advice me on how to do the safe mode on a Windows 8.1 since I haven't done it this way yet.

Thanks. :)
