This morning I was working on an ESXi host. (It has an ip address, and one vm built on it using an existing disk image).

I had problems powering on the vm because it kept saying the source disk was not found.

To troubleshoot this problem, I ran a few commands on the ESXi command line. But still it returned with the same error.

Was wondering what shall I check (/var/log/xxx) or troubleshoot to resolve this problem?

I tried checking /var/log/messages of our company proxy cum dns server, but it does not give much information.
