I downloaded the Windows 7 SP1 Media Refresh file (ISO) and used it to refresh my old boot drive. It worked fine to repair the problem I was having with Internet Explorer 11. Then I replaced the boot hard drive (C:\) with a new, SSD drive. I ran into problems with several programs, including Outlook, so used the refresh DVD again in an attempt to fix the new problems on the SSD. The Windows install (upgrade) goes all the way through to the end, then fails with an error message that this version of Windows is not compatible with my current hardware. The only thing different with the hardware is the SSD. Everything else is the same. How can I get the install to complete on the SSD?
