Tried to log into the Jupiter Broadcasting show today (Linux Action Show) with Pidgin so I could get into chat and got this:

 

Lost connection with server: Bad file descriptor

 

Figured it might be them so I tried two other IRC chat rooms that I hang out in and got the same thing. It's like Pidgin(or any other chat client) can access the router to get things hooked up.

 

I even tried going to a Live USB of Zorin and installing Pidgin to see if maybe it's my Kali install that's borked but still didn't work.

No clue as to what's going on here, never had this problem before. Pidgin has always worked well for me but for some reason it's just not. What could be the problem?
