How to remove Snap.do redirect adware?

Okay I have been having this problem too. I have this stupid Snap.do redirect on my google chrome and it is SO FRUSTRATING! I think it came up after my internet suddenly exited and came back on twice in a row (not even allowing me any time to click anywhere). It was really weird and kind of scary. Then when I closed chrome and opened it again, I'd get these extensions and realize I was having ads on websites I normally didn't! I got rid of the extensions and looked for anything to uninstall... except there was nothing to uninstall. I looked everywhere for snap.do and the company that makes it (I don't remember the name now but it is irrelevant because I couldn't find the company either). I am now trying to figure out if it really just has to do with feed.helper.com (which redirects to snap.do anyway) and see if I can somehow uninstall it with that. I am just super frustrated though because I really hate this thing hijacking my search engine and I don't know what else it is doing. I can't get it with my windows defender and I can't find it at all on my computer (even though I can see what it does). I really hate it. I can't find any useful information on getting rid of it.
