But when I go to Action Center it says Security Essentials is on and protecting my computer. The last time it said that it wouldn't let me access the program or my back up drive and lots of other things so I figured it crashed. I wouldn't even let me do a restore/recovery. Said you do not have access to this. Don't really remember what I did but I got my flash drives out quick and saved all my files and think I ran a restore anyway and walked away when I came back it looked like it froze so I or kept spinning. So I just shut down. Next day I turned on and everything was OK I went to Security Essentials ran a check and come to find out my updates for security essentials had been disabled but I guess MS or somehow it said "created 3 days ago" and that I would have to update manually. I don't know what all I did but it has been running good for at least 3 days and ran a diagnostics today cuz started to notice weird things again and the diagnostics said the same thing today but an update was ran all of a sudden. Also I get this sound frequently that sounds like something being or working in the background. I can't ever see but I hear the sound like as if for example you just put in a flash drive or ejected one and sometimes while that noise comes and goes my mouse (wireless) cuz I'm on a notebook so I added wireless mouse, goes and comes back or sometimes it doesn't come back. What ever I did before didn't work really but got me back on and online. Who do I see about this which is really lots more than just the Security Center report. When I open certain programs or docs they disappear. I'm doing an online course in CompTIA A+ Essentials and take notes in Word 2013 when I tried to access doc to get some ideas it kept disappearing and I had to keep re-opening it like some kinda tug a war. I don't know if I got hacked, bugged, wormed or what the deal is. I use Metro PCS and run my 4gHotSpot to get online. This past several weeks is only when these problems started and I've been using this method for since about August 2013.
