Posted March 19, 201410 yr I have users that remote to server to work. The problem is when they RDP to this server, their local PC's aren't showing up like it used to. When they go to devices and printers on the remote server no printers are in there. When they try to add a printer they get a message sayig that the print spooler is not running or that the PC cannot connect to the printer. I've done the stop and restart the spooler on the local server, I've ran a spooler clean up tool, I've ran malwarebytes and anti virus protection, and I've also deleted and re-added a printer. (I hope it doesn't come to that because we hae over 120 printers throughout my organization.) I've rebooted the print server a couple of times to no avail. I looked on event viewer and Event 315 Error 5 is in there a lot of times, which has to do with the printers being shared. All the printers are being shared and I'm just stumped with this issue. Some people can print with no problem, but most of the employeed haven't been able to print for a couple of days now. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Continue reading...
